Hi friends.
I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately. I’ve been selling real estate for more than a decade now, and this week I’m also stepping into a new decade myself as I turn 40.
Both feel a little surreal.
Over the years, one thing I’ve learned is that real estate has never really been about houses for me. It’s about people. It’s about helping someone step into a new chapter, guiding families through big transitions, and being trusted during moments that can feel both exciting and emotional.
I feel incredibly lucky that so many of you have trusted me with such an important moment in your lives.
After all these years doing this work, I’ve also learned something else. There’s a lot of noise around buying and selling homes.
Advice from friends.
Things people see online.
HGTV expectations.
And plenty of opinions about what you “should” do.
The truth is, every situation is different.
So here are a few honest things I often share with my clients:
The highest offer isn’t always the best offer. Price matters, of course, but the terms matter too. Sometimes you’re bridging the space between selling your home and moving into the next one, and timing matters just as much as money. A buyer’s financial strength, timelines, contingencies, and their likelihood of closing all play a big role.
The process can be emotional. Buying or selling a home is rarely just a financial decision. Homes hold memories and chapters of our lives, and it’s completely normal for emotions to show up along the way.
Real estate shouldn’t feel like pressure. My job isn’t to push people into decisions. It’s to help you understand your options so you can make the right move for your life and your long-term goals.
My role as your realtor is to help you see the full picture so you can move forward with clarity and confidence when the time is right for you.
Because at the end of the day, real estate isn’t just about houses.
It’s about people and the lives being lived inside those homes.
If you’ve been thinking about making a move, or even just wondering what your options might look like, I’m always happy to talk it through. My goal is simply to help guide people toward decisions that make sense for their life and their financial future.
Cheers to the next decade. One in age and one in this career I love so much.
