This home started with a tiny, closed-off laundry nook between the garage and kitchen. No flow, no function, and definitely no fun. We opened it up to create a proper garage-to-home pass-through, and suddenly this little corner became one of the busiest (and best) spots in the house.
Now there’s a spot to stop and drop—bags, shoes, keys, random kid stuff, you name it. Everything finally has a home instead of getting lost somewhere in the house. Built-ins keep the chaos under control, and an oversized bulletin board turned into a collection of real life—photos, notes, doodles, all the little things that make a home feel personal.
It’s clean, modern California style but lived-in and relaxed. Light, natural, easy. Proof that small changes can totally shift how a home feels. And this one? It just feels better. That’s design that feels like home.
